The cherry blossoms will be at their peak bloom in about 1-2 weeks from now and they are beautiful. You will want to go down to the tidal basin and also next to the Washington Monument. You will have some great photo ops. if you like to photograph flowers in those areas.

Trees flower in the spring. So go in Spring time.
