How do you know? the dangerous kind, deep vein thrombosis can only be detected by ultrasound. Those are potentially life threatening, but treatable. So, you can't diagnose yourself.

Of course, you need to see a dr. if it's truly a blood clot. You wouldn't be able to see DVT because that's inside your leg. You probably have a varicose vein that decided to bulge - or did you injure it somehow? I currently have DVT and a torn calf muscle from a skiing accident 2 weeks ago. My dr. sent me for xrays to see if a bone was broken and 'just to be safe' he also ordered an ultrasound on my entire leg - groin to ankle. I thought he was nuts because all I had was pain in my calf. I didn't even have any noticeable bruising until several days later. Well, I do have a clot and it could have killed me. The treatment hasn't been fun. I've had to have 2 shots per day in my stomach (blood thinner) and I'll be on Coumadin (sp?) for 6-9 months. Beats the alternative though. Right now I just wish my muscle would start feeling better. I've learned how to use crutches!

Blood cloths are dangerous and you should see a doctor. I'm not doctor but i know that about blood cloths so my advice to you is don't take a chance and go see a doctor.

a blood cloth? Do you mean a clot? how do you know that is what you have? Blood clots form in the veins and arteries, so how can you know it is there?
If you think you have ANY problem you should be seeing a doctor, not asking on yahoo! answers.

i'm guessing you propose blood CLOT they are in a position to be risky in severe circumstances yet in any different case very treatable beginning administration have been proper to blood clots interior the previous as they are in a position to advance the possibility, inspite of the undeniable fact that it is a very small advance yet i do no longer think of they 'reason' them as such. yes- very dangerous if untreated you could even have a stroke if it goes to to your brain or even have a heart attack if it goes to your heart. could even kill you.
