we were at church yesterday, after small group bible study, and we were playing around wrestling each other. then my friend wrestle this one new kid that had just come from another country (korea). My friend picked this kid up and threw him on the ground, and when he hit the ground we heard a loud thump. i thought he might of broken the wood floor or something, but then i looked at his arm and his shoulder area was popping out. He landed on his arm. I do martial arts, so i was trying to pop it back in, but i couldn't find the place the shoulder popped. If this kid didn't pop his shoulder, then did he rip his tendons or deep brusing or what?

That's something a Dr. needs to determine. Never try to pop a joint back in place. You could pinch a nerve or close an artery. Your friend doesn't need to worry about the Dr. bill though - I'm sure it will be included in the lawsuit. Is this how you greet all newcomers to your church?

Is your Friend OK?
I surely hope he went to the Emergency Room. You cannot get a diagnosis from Yahoo Answers. You may ask what his doctor said. It doesn't sound too good to me.
People should not be wrestling THAT rough.
P.S you should not "pop" anything in place - this is for a doctor to decide, you could have damaged him more!! What if he had a broken bone?

Sounds like a shoulder dislocation to me. A girl I knew had some serious shoulder dislocation and the only thing she could do was relocate it by a doctor and wait for it to heal. I think she had a sling but there's not much you can do about it.

Best to have that x-rayed. It sounds like a dislocated shoulder and must be reset to make it strong again. treat with ice and an anti inflammatory such as Ibuprofen. Don't try to do it yourself, there are too many things that can go wrong, do not delay you don't want that to start healing incorrectly.

Sounds like he is hurt. It was a good thing what you did. You tried to pop it back in place... but if you hurt him even more you would be in HUGE trouble but good thing you aren't. It sounded like he broke his shoulder/arm...I hope he gets better soon! And try not feeling guilty it was nobody's fault!

sounds like a dislocated shoulder, unless you are medically trained (not just first aid ) you really should not try 'popping it back in' as this can cause a lot of damage !! he needs to go to A & E

He dislocated his shoulder and is going to need surgery......you shouldn't be playing wrestling in church.....shame on you...Poor kid what would've happened if he broke his neck, think about that....No t.v. for you for the whole day, go to your room! and No, internet.

A doctor would be able to tell you. If something is wrong, he's going to want to see a doctor.
