I'm exactly five month now (tomorrow I start into the 6th - yeah!) and as I realized yesterday: One of my breasts is leaking. Tranparent, sticky fluid.
Okay, I know, it's working in there but isn't it a little bit early? And how much is "allowed", because it seems a lot to me.

I started leaking colostrum around 3 months into my first pregnancy and throughout the whole pregnancy.

Every woman is different. At least you know your milk is there and won't have to worry too much about it coming in after you give birth if you are going to breastfeed.

I would suggest buying Gerber or Avent disposable breast pads. They are great and catch everything. Gerber for lighter days/before birth and then the Avent after you deliver if you are going to breastfeed.

Well atleast you know that you will be able to produce breast milk. Some women dont start producing or leaking until they are in the delivery room, others like you start very early. I started month after you. I think that its normal, but I bet by the time you are 8 months you will need to wear a bra pad. Good Luck.

I don't know how much is a lot, but when my friend Tina was pregnant she produced milk too early and by the time she delivered her son she was no longer producing any milk. It does happen, everything was fine with the pregnancy, the delivery and the baby, she just couldn't breast feed.

I'm a couple of months behind you, and I have already had that leaky breast experience. My doctor says that's normal--happens differently in every pregnancy. If it seems like a truly excessive amount, ask your doctor, but I wouldn't worry about it.
