Mac/Pc Compatability Issues?

I was wondering if i could create a word file on the Pc and then open it on a Mac or Vice Versa. Thanks.

Yes - if the Mac has Microsoft Office/Word the *.doc file format is recognized by both systems.
-OR-
if you "Save As" a different file format, such as a text (*.txt) file - then it will open with nearly any text editing software - but formatting is usually not saved.

I believe it works both ways with applications designed by Microsoft, however the general rule of thumb is anything created on a Mac will work on a PC, just not the other way around
