I plead the 5th and what makes it bad is that I moan as if I having an orgasm--and I am only snoring--UGH. I am going to be seeing a sleep specialist next month. I do not want anyone getting any ideas if I fall asleep on a Transatlantic flight--I am already a member of the mile high club.

I LOVE this question. My husband snores sooo loud at night. I try to fall asleep before he does (we are in bed at the same time watching tv and I try to relax and drift off).

But I would never want to sleep in separate beds. I know other couples do that and I would rather have to give him a tap to wake him or make him roll to his side (the snoring stops when he is on his side or stomach). He had sinus surgery recently which helped some but I cracked up when I read your question.

I think I take comfort in the fact he is there.... I hate sleeping without him, even with the snoring!

How about you??

My spouse snores VERY loud. Luckily, I am a sound sleeper as well as an early riser. I go to bed first, fall asleep first and wake up first. This does not mean we found the perfect solution - I sleep in the bedroom and they sleep in the front room on the couch. When I leave in the mornings, I go outside to the garage behind the apartments and I can hear the snoring outside the house!!!!!!
Luckily, no neighbors have complained.

Great question!

Many people DRED the snoring of their mate, often causing problems with the relationship that ends up in a consultation with a sleep specialist. This is a good thing, as snoring is a big red flag indicating the possiblitly that the snorer suffers from obstructive sleep apnea. If OSA goes untreated it causes a number of medical problems from excessive daytime sleepiness to congestive heart failure. If you have a loved one that snores you should ALWAYS have them evaluated for OSA. 6% of all men and 3% of all women (prior to menopause) have apnea and many go undiagnosed until damage has been done already. Your primary care physician can refer you to an acredited sleep disorders center for more information.

My fiance only snores occaisonally, but it's kinda annoying. But then again i'm one of those people that has to have absolute silence and darkness to sleep cause i have insomnia. Any distraction just keeps me awake. But my fiance says I have really tiny cute snores and he has no trouble falling asleep within 5 minutes.

I felt it was music to my ears, but several times when we stayed at some luxurious hotels, the people next door complained - cheap walls I say
