doing a research paper on micronutrients but i have to add an appendix, what is an appendix, suggests please?

An appendix is the actual research example of what you are writing about
i.e. a well balanced diet - see appendix a)

appendix a) would be a picture or list of a well balanced diet - i.e. fruit and veg.

An appendix backs up what you are writing about. Especially in a graph/ table/ picture form.
