Saying Chamberlaine, "the great appeaser", was a CONSERVATIVE is a FACT.

Saying Churchill never said the proceeding quote is a FACT.

"If you're a conservative at 25 you have no heart. If you're a liberal at 35 you have no brain."???

He was in fact a member of the Conservative Party at 25 and a member of the Liberal Party at 35.

THESE ARE FACTS PEOPLE.

Saying FDR is nothing like today's Democrats is an opinion. FDR is an epitome of what a liberal is. The guy drastically increased the number of social programs to help Americans get back to work. He was the one who created Social Security and he was the one who made it alot easier for unions to organize. Google "alphabet programs" for a list of the programs he created. He even had tax rates of 90%!!! on the ultra-wealthy. He also proposed a 100% tax on income over 25K a year (300,000 in today's dollars).

If anything FDR was MORE socialist then today's Dems.

Socialism seems to be working quite well in America. We've had it for over 100 years. All first world countries base some of their policies on socialist principles.

If Democrats are socialist, then America is socialist.

Kinda like yourself for calling me a "rino" in your opinion because I am a republican that supports gay rights, and telling me that my party does not want me because of some bible-thumping fringe group.

You are one of the biggest hypocrites of them all. Could you be filled with more hate.

Grow up.

You are right on many facts.
It was because of Neville Chamberlain's wimpiness that Germany was able to rearm itself and start WWII.
FDR started the cradle to grave policies so desired by socialists. The fact is, had WWII not occurred during his presidency, FDR may have gone down in history as a failed president. None of the programs he started during the 1930s did any good in ending the depression. The social security system has turned into the biggest albatross on America's neck.

There is no such thing as a conservative or liberal party in England.... now or during WWII.

So your "fact" about Churchill is truly an "opinion" regarding his political leanings within the construct of the government he served.

Why do you offer opinion disguised ad fact.... oh yeah, you're a liberal. That's why.

You are correct about FDR. He probably made one of the most successful models of socialism/progressivism ever.

FDR did one thing that Democrats today do not do: fight our enemy to kill and defeat them.
