microphone help again?

i try and play music and the people hear it but also hear alot of static.is there steps i can take to see if i can stop the static?

Microphone?

If you hear static from your speakers or headset, there is something electrical in the room that is causing interference.

For, example, my brother had a similar problem and when he unplugged a flourescent table lamp, the static disappeared!
