I wax and now I have these bumps that swell and are very painful.On one of them there's a black dot and they are hard under the skin.I was wondering if they were ingrown hairs ?Almost like a pimple.

I think I have ingrown hair. I wax , but it's been since last fall. Hard bump, one is black under the skin.Pimple like, very tender. I exfolicting but I still have them.Do I need to do it harder ? Can't seem to see any ingrown hairs besides that dark color one.

It does sound like ingrowns. I would recommend exfoliating first. Then applying very warm compresses. Then you can gently work the hair out, but be careful not to apply too much pressure. Then cleanse using a mild antibacterial soap. I recommend a product to my clients who are prone to ingrowns called TENDSKIN, you can use it right after waxing and continue until the next waxing. Very effective! Always remember to exfoliate!

yes they are ingrown hairs (i hate tose buggers!) have a look at PFB vanish or PRINCEREIGNS. also a product with salicylic acid may help. dont pick at them as they scare very easily. gently get them out with a CLEAN pair of tweezers and exfoliate gently. they'll take a long time to grow out if you dont find a product that works for you so check these out!

It's probably an ingrown hair. I got a few of those on my knees once that made walking painful, until I got it out.
