Honey, you can take him today if you want. I took my first and second when they were two weeks, and then they got their shots at the two month checkup. Whatever you want to do is fine.

He should have been to see the doctor the first week after coming home. Just to check on him.

At your 2 month the doctor will set up your next appointments. 2-4-6 12 and 18 months usually. More if needed.

Well he should have went a week postpartum. Now you can take him pretty much anytime you like. But once a month for the first 6 months will benefit him. Yes he gets his shots at two months and just so you know you will feel like the biggest bully in the whole world. The baby will cry and squirm and i can promise you that you will cry as well. Just try and remember that you are doing the best thing in the world for him!!

Some take the baby in for a 4 week check-up, some for a 6 week check-up... I would do it before time for the first shots. That's just me though, a little precautious.

Good luck with the new baby!

You should have had a pediatrician see him in the hospital. There was not a baby doctor there after he was born. I find that strange. Call the hospital and ask who released the baby and see if they scheduled you an appointment. I had an appt before I left the hospital for my son. Good luck.

I cannot believe that the hospital did not tell you. He needs a 1 week check up, a 2 week, a one month, a two month, a six month, and a year.

If he is already established with a pediatrician and has his appt for his shots already scheduled you wont need to take him unless he is sick. when you tak him for his shots, they will tell you when he needs to come back again & should schedule his appt.
If your not established with a pediatrician then you need to call one and tell them you need a reg pediatrician for your baby
congrats on the new little bundle!

Did you take him to the pediatrician when he was 3 days old for his PKU? If not, than you need to do it! You need to call the pediatrician's office and ask them for advice. They can give you advice and make you an appointment! Good luck and congratulations!!!

He should have gone for a one week checkup & then a six week checkup. Then for shots later. They`ll have you bring him in fairly often the first year just for shots/checkups.
good luck,I hope this helps.
