i dont get why people hate us

It usually stems from ignorance, stupidity, fear, or stereotypes. So lemme give out a little public service announcement (in all caps of course. Grabs attention, ya know?)
ATTENTION ALL STUPID PEOPLE. NOT ALL EMOS AND GOTHS ARE WHINY CUTTERS. CUTTERS ARE PEOPLE WHO CUT THEMSELVES. NOT EMOS OR GOTHS. (although one can be a cutter AND an emo/goth) NOT ALL EMOS AND GOTHS ARE DEPRESSED. DEPRESSED PEOPLE ARE DEPRESSED. (although you can be both) NOT ALL EMOS AND GOTHS ARE WHINY. WHINY PEOPLE ARE WHINERS. (although you can be both) STOP JUDGING PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON'T FULLY UNDERSTAND THEM. MOCKING ANY ONE GROUP OF PEOPLE (in this case emo/goths) IS BORDERLINE RACISM. Yes, RACISM.

It's hilarious seeing a little 13 year old girl walking around looking like the poster child for death. Then when she goes home, she has a rich mommy and daddy that buy her everything she could ever want. Instead of trying to be classified by a certain dress code, try to be unique. Goths are NOT unique!!!! Seriously, I don't want to look at someone who thinks Halloween is every freakin day of the year. Get a life, learn what suffering really is, and once you know, you will realize that you can't characterize how much you've been through simply by the clothes that you wear.

Because it is insulting to people who have real problems in life, and deal with those problems constructively, to hear someone constantly whining about how dark and cruel their life is. All emos and goths are doing is begging for attention as they wallow in their own self-pity (and enjoying it too.)
Because there really are bad things going on in the world. Being forced to brush your teeth, do your schoolwork, clean your rooms, and not being allowed to hang out with scuzzy friends ranks very low on the list.

I don't know either. It's a shame who much ignorance seems to pour from so many people. Goths and emos are people too.

We don't hate you, sweetie, but whining self-pity when there are real problems to deal with is just such a bore.

cuz u guys dress like clowns n then whine about how people look at u differently. u also whine about how ur life sucks so much, n u guys cut urself n do watever stupid ****, when theres people who have it a lot worse than u do. most of u guys are just spoiled brats that dont know how other people live.
