when i smile i look ugly i dont know why, and its not my teeth they are ok i had braces for 2 years. please help i hate it :P x :(

haha for some reason i used to think the same thing?! i don't know why i just didn't like the way my face looked when i was smiling but after seeing picture after picture and realizing that everyones face changes a little when htey're laughing or smiling.. i got over my stupid thoughts. i'm sure you don't look ugly when you smile.. and even if you feel you do... practice different ways of smiling. try smiling with your lips closed, or just one of those little half smiles or something, get creative! if smiling is the only thing that makes you ugly that you should be happy and find a way to just get around that smile! good luck! :D

Awww, dont listen to these horrible people they are so mena. Im sure your not at all ugly im sure you a beautiful girl. I used to think that when i smiled it looked ugly. Have you felt this for a long time? If you havnt you will probably get over it, i used to think that its just all in the mind, which i think it is.
I cant see how smiling can make someone look ugly from 'the person looking at yous' point of view. I hope you feel better in your self as soon as possible xoxox

You probably don't - you probably just think you do. I think I look ugly when I smile as I have a very broad smile, but it's what my husband fell inlove with and so many have said to me it 'lights up the room'. It's all in your head - most of us look our best when we smile, unless you have no teeth/bad teeth. Look through the albums of you smiling ... you're 'mirror smile' is never your natural smile so you can't get a true idea from that. I bet your album pics are lovely if you'd only look.

Hon, just practise different ways to smile while sitting in front of a mirror (best done on your own). Till you find a way that will feel comfortable and look nice. It is better if you try it on your own so you will do what ever is comfortable to you.

okay, this is a very common misconception. men like women who laugh. If you prefer pictures where you don't smile then don't, but whatever you do, don't refrain from smiling when you feel like it. People will think you are mean, sad, or depressed. Seriously.
