My baby was able to lift his head up at 2 weeks too, so it is very normal.

my son lifted his head the very first time i held him, 30 seconds after he was born!! so i say, yes! it's normal.

***the old wives tale is: if your baby lifts it's head early, it will be a "climber"-enjoy!

my son climbed on the laundry basket, to the top of the washing machine when he was 9 months old...so watch out!

yes, all babies develop these early abilities at differnet agea, the first thing my baby did as she was being born was lift her head right upo and look at me, that really surprised the midwife, but is not abnormal

Tough little scrapper! Good for him! Yup, when you put babies on their tummy at time through the day they get strong muscles through the neck and chest. The downside is that he's learn to crawl early! haha! Yeah, and it just goes down from there....

Good job mommy! Kisses to the little guy.
