Why keep up the lies? It is millions that have been dispalced, it is all over the news too. 7000 are seeking refuge here right as we speak since they have no place to live.

I don't think that we assume they want to be Republicans...but we do think that they want to be FREE...as evidenced by their actions! Those that fled Iraq were those that had reason to fear a free and democratic society in the middle east, especially Iraq! And as far as who is going to rebuild Iraq, we see it every single day...it is the Iraqi's and our troops and allies that are risking their lives DAILY to build and re-build a once brutally terrorized nation. With resilience and hope they try every single day to fight off the fear of insurgents and continue to live for a new tomorrow...and while I can't say this from personal experience, I do have 2 Iraqi women pen pals and 1 US Marine pen pal that I hear stories from and I support with supplies, prayers and hope. Pardon me if I'd rather believe those that live it first hand, than those of US who simply choose to believe whatever it is we want in hopes of making ourselves feel a bit better. Give peace a chance my friend.

They fled due to Insurgents trying to kill them, Skippy. Like in any war, Civilians flee. and the figures are way less than 500,000..not milliaons
We are building a Democracy in Iraq, if they choose to be Republicans, thats a good choice..
Haliburton along with over 1000 other contractors, joined by Iraqis, are and will be rebuilding. Haliburton just happens to be the best choice and a long standing contractor.

I don't recall ever wanting the Iraqis to be Republican. As far as the educated leaving, there are MANY who are still here. I work with them everyday. Halliburton only works on projects inside the wire.

Hmm, seem to be quite a few enjoying the freedom of education now...
Not saying they want to be republicans - in terms of political party line; but we are giving them a chance to choose their political affiliation and actually express that - something they never had before.
I would like to see your source for the millions fleeing Iraq because they did not want to be republican....I think you are misconstruing statistics, if you have them. Also statistics on Iraqis not being educated....please show your source.

Of course many of Saddam's thugs fled Iraq, as did many of Al-Qaida. Iraqis are rebuilding Iraq, in case you haven't heard.

iraquians fled because of the obvious on going violence that is still prevalent. they want a safe haven. and that is precisely why we are over there
