The only female singer I listen to is Amy lee from evanescence, I like songs by females but I don't like them enough to buy them, or even download them.

i agree...
alot of what i listen to is for the sole purpose of the lyrics to the song...every song has a meaning, and i really cant relate to my boyfriend leaving me or wearing a dress or anything like that

I love Amy Lee ⥠but I think that there are better male singers than they are of girls, since it seems like *everyone* gets to be a singer these days. Rob Thomas is definitely one =)
Oh, and the exception of American Idol. Both genders are great.

i dont think there is a choice the majority of singers are female. well band wise hip hop artist theres very few i like. i bought the missy elloit cd a long time ago. never again though lol.

im a girl but still prefer listening to a male voice, eventhough i cant relate to it if its a love song ( but thats hardly the case coz i dont listen to love songs)
the female vocalist form nightwish is extremely talented and she s very pretty too

i cant stand female singers. the only band i like with a female singer is paramore. haylee has an awesome voice.

same here. i have over 2 hundred songs on my ipod and only about 4 of them are sung by girls. i mainly only listen to boy bands.
