Some you can, and some you cannot.
Even some wired keyboards can be washed this way as long as you tie the cable up properly so it does not get caught in the arms of the washer.
Either way, if you are going to try it make sure that you remove the batteries first or its going to be goodbye keyboard for sure. :-)
Also shake out any debris in there, some of the uhm...bigger pieces might not just wash out.
lastly, do not use dishwasher soap, some of the chemicals might be harmful for the electronics. water dries, chemicals might stay behind.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Let it dry for a few days, turn it in different positions a few times, just to make sure no water remains in any creases. Any fluids left in there will surely short something out when you plug it back in.
Remember, its nothing but a bunch of wires and plastic. Water does not melt it...but really hot water just might.... and any water left inside will surely short something once you plug it back in.
btw, if it has an lcd screens or any other of those types of knicnacs...dont do it.
If you just spilt a can of pop into it...go for it since its shot anyway otherwise :-)
Disclaimer
....All I can say is ...good luck because again...some it works with, some it does not.
If you try it you are on your own and i never said any of this if it does not work in your case. :-)
edited to add...someone gave me a thumbs down it seems...how about maybe you should then go read Aprils maximumpc...page 50 I believe....ofcourse it might be an april fools thing :-)

It's only wireless on the outside. Do you clean all of your electronics in the dishwasher?! Try a wet rag. Or, if you like to go to extremes, just buy a new keyboard each time one gets dirty.

no all the electronic parts will get washed and dependign on the heet of the water it wont work. but hmm i guess because once we left a wireless keybord outside for a month and it was exposed to the elemenst and well we cleend it and made sure it was dry and put bateries in it and it worked fine. so now i flip flop and say that it might survive. 75% it will survive and 25 % it will die. but you have to let it dry for like a week. so is it worth it? if you have another keyboard go for it.

Yeah, sure. While you're at it, throw in the mouse and the computer, then do the monitor by itself as it won't fit with the computer.
After that, do the TV, the microwave and the Hi-Fi system.
May as well do the cat and dog too.....
