I did a web search using the parameters you entered, but also looking for total cost information. Housing and living costs are a big part of your costs, so affordable, decent housing has to be taken into account.

A couple of examples of MBA programs you might look at:

(1) The Babcock School of Management at Wake-Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Check out alumni comments at http://www.vault.com/graddegree/school/school_main.jsp?program_id=3776&type=4&co_page=5&ch_id=255

Note: the general source, "The Vault", a career information site might be a good place to look for information, since they do surveys of alumni and have postings from alumni. So you could look around here, get an idea of which places seem to fit your parameteres, and then look elsewhere for the school websites to get ideas on programs, as well as the Business Week ratings of MBA programs to see where variious programs rank.

(2) Another place I found that looks like a fair match for your requirements is Iowa State Uniuversity management school. Check that out on Vault, but also at the US News and World Report Best Graduate Schools, 2007 site: http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/directory/dir-mba/brief/glanc_01259_brief.php Again, if you go to the home of this source, you will have another excellent portal for information on your quest.

Good luck.

Research states schools. They're cheaper. If you're talking about a respected MBA prices will always be in high 30-50K. This is how I pick schools. I check usnews.com to see the rankings for the subject I'm looking for. Write down the first 25-30 of them. I then sort them out to pick top 10 state and top 10 private schools (usually the first 5 best rankings are tough to get into so I don't always bother with them). Then I check their tuition and all. Hope this helps.
