You'd need 1) a remote location that has a wi-fi connection 2) a laptop with wi-fi capabilities, and 3) permission from wi-fi's owner to tap into their network, and 4) hope they actually go online!

All new laptops have wireless central processors. When you open your browser in most free hot spots you will be online at once.

If you need to pay the wireless providor will come up and you can sign in and pay with a credit card.

If you have an old laptop get a card that slips into a slot on the side or back of your laptop.

Wireless requires an access point. Remote locations don't have these so its difficult. You must be able to detect an access point for wireless to be usable. If there is no Access Point for wireless you could link your PC to you mobile and the mobile will act as the PC's modem and you are connected via the mobile phone network - which is wireless - kind of. Hope this helps. Good luck.

You don't give ANY relevant details: What kind of computer (Operating System) are you using?

Do you have wireless capacity?

Do you have an IP address?

Did you even try looking in Help for your computer?

What have you tried? What happened?

There needs to be a "hub" near you that allows you to get on the net. If there isn't, you're out of luck.

You can try the things people are telling you, or look in Help.

If you still can't do it and can't figure out why, come back to this site, and ask again, but explain what you tried, what you have, and what happens when you try.
