Me and my best friend are really close, but she always copies me! When I get some new clothes, she gets some too! and when I start liking a new designer brand she imiediately starts liking it too! Also when I watch what I eat, so does she! And I get a bit of attention for being thin, she wants to diet to be "thinner than me". Even though I am quite shy, she wants to steal any attention I get away from me! I had my eye on the samsung blush, and then she wants to get it! It is sooooooo annoying because whenever i talk to her about it, she gets upset and says i am vain! What should I do? Please Help Me!!!

Just ask her why she is doing it, tell her you don't like that shes copying you. If shes a real friend she should understand. Good luck.

I am in the exact situation. Recently, although I know it's immature, I've been acting more hostile towards her/ignoring her. Seems to work. The problem is, she doesn't have a personality of her own, so she needs to leech off of something else. Since the hostility/ignoring, I have noticed she's starting to take on personalities of this certain internet persona, mainly because she doesn't have many friends, never goes out, and always hangs out with mine. It seems like the relationship you have with her, you're not getting anything out of it. So, either talk to her, or drop her.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. As for being shy, that's probably the best trait any girl could have, from my point of view. Treat your friend kindly and well, and maybe a bit of (tactful) probing will reveal she's insecure. And remember, fashion is about other people copying a style. Just think of yourself as a trendsetter: just don't lose the shyness.

Maybe you should tell her that you are flattered, but that you want to have your own pesonality, because even though she's your best friend, you still want to be you. If you guys have been friends a long time, then she should understand where you're coming from. Maybe she doesn't exactly know what her Identity is, and she thinks that yours is the coolest. She sounds really insecure. Maybe you're so close because she just copies all your acts and opinions and so you mistakenly feel like you're on the same wavelength. Do you really know her? There's nothing you can do other than find a new best friend, who might be less dull!

They say that "immitation is the best form of flattery". Your friend obviously admires your style and although I can see it may be bugging you, try perhaps to get to the root of why its happening. It may be that she has self esteem issues and doesnt trust her own judgement but knows that she can rely on yours. Hopefully this will be a phase that wont last long. Best of luck.

Lol she hasnt copied me since i told her that she was copying me to much and she should cut down a bit.
