i have read one of the books its ok to me can see why people like it but its not really anything spacial. but the films they are carp they are so badly acted by the children and the adults. the last film i did not read the book to but it was pretty bad to mean it had really no story just a load of crap and what was with the ball dance thing that went on. i hope next time these make a film use children they will pick the ones that can act not the one that look the most like the description as that is what the the filming make up area is for

I love the books because you can use your own imagination to picture what happens. The films are a good interpretation, but theres not enough time to fit it all in so they miss out some of the book. Thats why I think the books are better

I love both.. cant wait for the next book to come out. Have been in and resered my copy...2 of them actually cos me and my hubby will want to read at the same time and he reads too slowly for my liking.. We have them on talking book audio cd's and have the music piped through to the bathroom and listen to it in the bath! heh heh..
Just a really good story line and about something completely different. Not real so you get into it and are interested about this strange new land etc....
Hubby doesnt like the films.. says they left too much out.. but he is like that with any film adaption of a book.. Lord of the rings was exactly the same!

I like the Harry Potter books and films because they are enjoyable and imaginative. I think as children you should expand your imaginations and dare to dream and visualize--as an adult it is still okay to daydream and fantasize as well. Harry Potter is excellent because it also made PEOPLE READ BOOKS! Reading is so much fun and fundamental to life itself.

The books are quite enjoyable as they show an interesting method of how magic can exist with people not knowing about it...and howtwo separate worlds can have great similarities. One blessing for me was that seeing the first film, gave me several great actors to visualize in reading the books that followed, thus increasing my enjoyment of them.
Though I have enjoyed all the films so far, I an concerned with the last few because of the depth. It will not translate easily to film.

The books are amazing, and the films are okay.. Simply because it is not possible to fit what is in the books into a film.â

Totally love them. I cant wait for the new film and book. The fact that Tom Felton is so sexy doesnt hurt matters! That aside though, I think they have great storylines and they appeal to all ages, not just kids
