U should have checked things out more before buying parts. U can buy a small test meterfor around £3, Start by checking fuse which u havent mentioned, then if fuse is ok , swap switches over and see if it works but u have bought a new switch or was it secondhand, it still could be a faulty switch, its always best and cheapest and simplist way first to swap switches. If u operate switch can u hear a cliking noise comming from door window motor? it could be faulty motor or motor jammed or mechanisim. Check that power is getting to the switch and from switch when pressed of course to window using a test meter, or simple tester screwdriver etc. If power is getting to the motor then before buying a motor remove it, check connections are clean etc, reconnect motor with same connection, if still not working then b4 giving up on motor, earth the motor with a jump lead and with a length of wire from battery connect it temporary to live connection that moves window up or down, still no luck then it sounds like motor is us.
