wash your pet with Sulfur soap or in this case your capet..
sprinkle Borax on your carpet..
Sevin dust.....
vacuum your carpet really good, then take flea shampoo and use it in your carpet cleaner. After the floors are dried, then I put Cascade on the carpet. Taking a broom and sweeping it into the carpet well. It takes a couple of weeks to see a big improvement...........
buy a flea collar and chop it up in several pieces and place some of the pieces in your vacuum cleaner ( replace those pieces every few weeks). Then vacuum every day, making sure to dump the vacuum container after each time. .....
try diatomacecous earth.
works pretty good. non toxic , can put in yard , or house...
Spreading cedar chips along your fence line or in your room can keep the fleas at bay. You can also have a tansy plant outside your dogs' pen to keep the fleas away....
Tea Tree Oil is good to use too....
Instead of using strong chemicals and sprays on pets, some folks have great luck using ' Essential oils ', such as Lemongrass, Lavender and Citronella to keep fleas away. The oils also have a healing and soothing effect on the pets skin, and they help the skin and hair to detoxify and regenerate......
Eucalyptus Leaves ...
i hope this helped and good luck!

First answer is right on. Just sprinkle Borax everywhere, and sweep into cracks and crevices. Vacuum after a couple of days but be sure to toss the vacuum bag in the trash because there will be flea eggs in the bag. My friend tosses Borax around the house all year long. No fleas in house or on dog.
Another remedy is to place a shallow pan of soapy dishwater under a bright light at night. The fleas are attracted to the heat and drown in the soap.

Fleas tend to get more excited at night, try a bit of Dawn blue dish detergent in a small pie pan, added a bit of water near the floor. Plug in a night light, and for some odd reasons these pesky little creatures will drown. Also keep doing the bombs. Best way to do this, is take the cushions off your chairs and couch. if you have a few 2x4's put under your couch to lift it. 2 Cans of spray per room. i know its a bit pricy, but this does work. Leave your home for over 6 hours so it will penetrate, into the carpets and furniture. Make sure you have NO animals. If so, keep them outside, do not allow anything breathing in the house while doing this.

If you want to treat your pets try some soap based in orange or citronella oil to keep the fleas off them.
To kill them in the house try this trick:
Set out a couple of pie pans with water and a couple of drops of liquid dish detergent in it in the middle of the infested rooms. In the middle of each pan set up a votive candle (longer burning would be good) on top of a custard dish or small/low jar, or, put the dish under a night light. The light attracts the fleas and they jump in the water and the soap does some sort of surface tension thingy so they end up drowning.
Diamaceous (sp?) earth scattered around the border of your house (especially the door jams and window sills) will the pests from coming in from your neighbor's pets or other critters roaming around.
Good luck!

You could try Diatomaceous Earth.
"Diatomaceous earth consists of fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of hard-shelled algae. It is used as a filtration aid, as a mild abrasive, as a mechanical insecticide, as an absorbent for liquids, as cat litter, as an activator in blood clotting studies, and as a component of dynamite. As it is also heat-resistant, it can be used as a thermal insulator."
You have to get the fleas before they lay more eggs. You're probably getting them every spring because of moisture. Moist environments are perfect for egg hatching and they can lay dormant for a long time while they wait for the perfect environment.
If you aren't opposed to using chemicals you can get Mycodex Plus. I had a really bad flea problem and this solved the problem. A lot of vets carry it or you might be able to buy it online. A vet will also be able to tell you when to repeat to help break the cycle.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

the best thing i have found is free.take a mediam bowl, fill have way with water.take dish soap and cover top of water. not a lot, just enough to cover top of water. a film.take a small light & put it on floor out of the way.turn on light over the bowl. best works at night when room is dark.fleas will jump towards the light& inthe bowl.the soap will hold them& soon they will drown. empty bowl when there is a lot in it.do this every nite for a while. it will work.use in the worst part of your house 1st. then move from room to room.
