bush's whole presidency has been defined by war, after 911 everyone was ready to get the job done, but four years later everyone is ready to back out. if we decide to go to war, we cant go to war till everyone is ready to pull out, we need to stay till the job is done.

well I would say I'm not surprised. americans always back down.
but I'm not going to be mean.

I think Bush did a good thing, he set free many people in Iraq and save them freedom that they probably never dreamed of having because it just wasn't allowed. Sure people got killed but for freedom and a better life to the ones who survived.

Personally I don't like war. I want the borders to stop being hell and I want customs to stop going through my car and questioning me like mad when I visit the states. However until this 911 terrorist crap stops it's not going to change.

Was it really 4 years? I could have sworn it was more..yea it was because I'm 20 now and I was sitting in grade 9 art class when the news came on saying the towers were bombed....so that was 6 years ago.

6 years is plenty.
End the war already.

I'm not against him. A lot of people don't know how much good has been done over there. They've held an election, women aren't prosecuted, kids are getting an education, etc. They only tell you the violent things going on in Iraq, rarely the good. But I agree....we got ourselves in this war, so we def. shouldn't back out. Terrorism is like a disease, it will never be completely cured or done away with, but we can stop the spread of it. There are small children being tought over there to hate Americans and to kill them when they get a chance. If we don't stop the spread of terrorism, can you imagine what the future will hold for this country?

He led us into a war that was not necessary!!! There is a HUGE difference of going into a war of necessity and going into a war of choice. I was always against the war from day one.

And what exactly is "stay till the job is done" actually mean? We have become occupiers and are stuck in the middle of a civil war between religious fundamentalists who are fighting against each over ideologies. These are wars that cannot be won, and it's time to pull our troops out before there is more sacrifice of our troops.

It is interesting that yes we all believed in going to war and getting to the bottom of things in Afghanistan. I also believed that was a justified war going after the people that attacked US. Then comes this war for OIL in Iraq and we are failing so we pull out of the justified conflict and turn it over to NATO to continue to do the Unjust bidding of the BIG OIL Companies where we really are nothing more than an unpaid Melita and it is all shrouded in this false national pride thing about fighting terrorism when in fact we are the terrorists doing the torture and acting lawlessly. If we are going to fight terror, we need to fight the terrorist and not be the flunkies for Big OIL Companies

Bush has defined himself by war. Who complained about Afghanistan? Not many. We had to go there because we were attacked. I'll buy that one. Iraq is where Bush let Cheney and his cronies shoot him in the face (pun intended). If you can name one thing that has produced any positive result from this war of choice I would be surprised. Bush has only himself to blame. He is the President. He needed to stand up to Cheney and Wolfy and Rumy, but he chose to be a lap dog. And now you ask why? Give me a break.

The problem here is the way we were convinced to spport going to war in Iraq.

It is a fact that Bush used incorrect intelligence reports as the basis for war (weapons of mass destruction). Bush knew that these reports were bogus but used them anyway. EVERY intelligence agency in the US and most in Brittain disputed all reports of weapons of mass destruction. Bush didn't let the US public know of those disputes.

In effect, he lied for the purpose of sending our nation to war. This was wrong and is actually a good basis for impeachment.

President Bush had one agenda when he came into office, and that was to go to war with Saddam. He was willing to go to any extreem in order to get that done.

Everybody complaining about the president needs to shut their mouths. There are soldiers out there risking there lives for the sake of this country and the only thing people are doing is complaining about the president....Oh shut up! Especially that retard-democrat trying to impeach the president....he should be shot!

Everyone was not ready to conquer Iraq, no one wants to leave Afghanistan although we did kind of let that go when we invaded Iraq.

Don't twist history.

Unfortunately I think he has done the best he could, that's why I never voted him because I didn't think he could do a good job.

no what people forget is bush was a failed buisiness manin oil wnad had a lot of dealings with iraq oil. but wasnt it alqueda who were meant to attack the twin towers. i think it was so why go to war with iraq, it wasnt because suddam hussein was an ally to osama binladen as he was on his death list. Bush is a failed politician wars make or break a leader. it is now contraversial as its a civil war which we effectivly created so staying and leaving is the wrong thing to do
