Honesty, True friendship, Humbleness, Open, Affectionate, Trusting, Helpful, Understanding, Love, Sacrifice, Kind and Caring. I see all these qualities before choosing a friend.

They should have understanding between each other thats the most important thing as when even if they have fights they could talk it out and solve the matter.Thus understanding between 2 friends is helpful!

What make you think this person is meant to be your very best friend? Make a list of reasons. Do you have other best friends? Make a list of what makes them your best friends. Compare see if this person is a fit to be in that category. It is different for each person. I have 2 best friends and several good friends. Not everyone is meant to be your best friend.

3. not too much ineterference in each others personal matters - but some involvment and sharing personal information is neccessary

5. giving priority to each others matters as compared to third persons

What makes a best friend????? for me i think it is someone you can share anything with, you dont have to like the same people or the same things but like to do some of the same things together even if you dont like what she wants you to do, be honest to that person when they need your advice and they will give you advice weather you like it or not, they would be there for you in a drop of a hat if you needed something.You can always count on them just like they can count on you.Your kids will think of your bf as family as you will her kids.I could go on and on but i think you get the picture.

I totally agree with cradle2r. All the qualities that everybody else has written about stem from love! If there is love, everything else needed comes naturally.

Best friend means no privacy in any matters.Share all the sorrows as well as happiness.Be always with him/her.have good understandings.Cant leave friendship for any reason.Have faith and love for him/her.Will be the strength of her/him.Never listen to anyone against him/her.Rather ask direct.Respect the relationship--the friendship.
