My Friends and family will think we are showing off. Its at a Great place. But :( I can hear the comments now, "you spent too much on this", "how can you afford this" The thing is I can afford it and this is solely for my brother who has endured so much and a celebration of his life. Additionally, it is to have friends and family over to get together! Should I do it?

Of course do it! Don't let other people stop you in telling your brother how much he means to you! Get the place and invite everyone else. If they say "how can you afford this?" just respond "I can. Would you like come? It's a 6:00 on....". If they say "You spent too much on this" say "I wish I had more to spend on my brother". Keep your goal in mind and you will have a response for everything.
He'll have a wonderful birthday because you care so much!

Yeah and whenthey start to argue tell them either get along or leave. If your brother has been through so much I don't think they'll leave. Plus if you wanna do it, do it. It is your money not theirs!!!! Tell them they are jealous cuz they didn't think of it first LOL.
