And then a baby born after this period became gay in later life, would it prove that homosexuality isn't a choice people make? I.e. having never been exposed to anything gay in its life, surely the person must have been born that way? Make sense?

I'd think we would have very few people left on earth.

I am the Mom of a guy man and I cannot say for sure if my son was "born" gay but I do not care. He is still the same boy/man to me that he always has been and I wish nothing but the best for him always. He is my treasure!

I understand your question but I guess I would like to say that I don't think that question will ever be answered right or wrong 'cuz we are a society that loves labels and I don't see that changing in our lifetime.

Take Care...Miss B

Seems like a rather drastic tactic to discover what the LGBT community has been saying all along. Why can't you just accept the fact that being gay is in-born?

All this fuss over something that really - in the big scheme of things - is incidental.

A new study found that at least half of being gay is genetic. It was found that gay men have brain cells shaped similar to women and function in the same manner as women. So there is some credibility to the whole genetics vs. environment thing on homosexuality.

that makes sense, but yowsers! the hitler jr. imagery is a bit much. but i guess the religious types would just say it's "evidence of satan in our lives" or some other equally non-sensical rationalization. it doesn't matter how much proof you give some people, they will always come up with a way to discount it. it's about fear. People will grasp at faith and "truths" in their lives b/c the alternative, thinking and changing and adapting, take too much work and is too scary for some people to deal with.

and if all the pretty pink balloons in the world came to life then we'd all have talking pink balloons for best friends and we could skip down the yellow brick road and sing nursery rhymes., oh wouldn't that be just fabulous. keep your silly fantasies to yourself. I like the eradicated part though, that was kinda nice.

homosexuality, although very rare, has been observed in other species as well, such as male elephants - not just playing or learning about sex, but actually trying to 'get it on' with ONLY other males for their entire life.

so you would have to find all the animals in the world with homosexual tendacies and kill them too.

thats a lot of killin...

and when it comes down to it.... what difference does it make if its choice or they are born with it? they are here, and here to stay. live with it.

Yes, I suppose that would prove that. Unless the gay individual was simply trying to rebel from society and be "original."
