Stress, dieting, exercise, etc. etc. There are many things that could cause your period to be late.

Weight change, stress, hormone imbalance, poor diet, changing cycle, for the hell of it. All these things can cause a woman to be late, early, skip, have a longer, shorter, lighter heavier period.

Women do not cycle like the tide, just because a cycle has ALWAYS been one way, doesnt mean it wont change suddenly for no apparent reason. It doesnt mean anything is wrong.

there are lots of factors, Change in diet, change in activity, stress about anything at home, work, school. Or just a normal body change. On average a persons body changes about every 7 years. If they are extremely worried about it talk to your general physician.

About 100 different things, all quite benign and maybe one or two that could cause worry, (infection, cancer). It is nothing mostly likely,;stress, weight change, change in diet or exercise routine, new medications..... any of these things can make a period late.
