AIDS from being in the gay lifestyle, or lung cancer from smoking?

Yes, I know. It is a subtle question. Not all gays get AIDS and not all smokers get lung cancer. And each is a lifestyle. We are taught to accept lifestyles.

Neither is a lifestyle. Some people are gay, they do not choose to be gay. Many people have AIDS who are not gay. Smoking is an addiction. People get lung cancer without smoking
You are insensitive and unknowing. My mother died of lung cancer ten years after she quit smoking. I used to smoke. Maybe I picked lung cancer??
this is not a subtle question, it shows insensitivity, stereotypical thinking, and ignorance.

AIDS does not come from being gay... So your saying if I go get me a girlfriend I will increase my risk of getting it?
I would opt for AIDS over lung cancer.

Each is a lifestyle, and of course, each had chosen to do what they want to do.
Coming down with lung cancer, is the most non ignoble of the two. You are not then known for a repulsive lifestyle, but for smoking.

AIDS is not a "gay disease," it's really a third world country disease. And being gay doesn't presuppose that you'll eventually get AIDS, whereas smoking gives you (and those you live and smoke around) a high risk of health complications. This question cannot be answered within these parameters.

Neither, gay people are NOT the only ones that "come down with" AIDS and it is ignorant to think that they are the only ones.

well, i'm not gay but i would choose aids b/c they are closer to finding a cure, i think, and there are meds to take to prolong your life, but cancer is so easy to metastasize that chances are you would die sooner w/ the cancer. and i have at least 17 yrs of life to live to see my youngest graduate.

If I have to choose I'd go with lung cancer......I might catch it early and be treated.

lung cancer...people pass too much judgement about gays with AIDS, gays period and people with AIDS.
