Do you or your significant other watch A LOT of anime? What's the appeal?

Mine does. I can't get into watching it for some reason. What's the appeal?

Its action, for some, its like reading a good book for others. Are watching the soaps. Its fun, you get attached to the characters like you do in movies and what not. Its just a lot of fun to watch

My husband loves it -- I don't get the appeal either.
