I would recommend that you take 5.0mg of sub-lingual melatonin. Sub-lingual products offer a higher and faster concentration of the product into your blood stream. Check out www.sourcenaturals.com for more advanced information. I've searched many sleep aid products over the years and the listed web-site thus far has been the best. Good luck and Goodnight!

I get 'SleepSense' (Lorna VanderHaguhe)They are 3mg. little tablets and I take one a night. Some nights I take two, but not very often. They seem to work better than the gel covered capsules. Once in awhile I will take aspirin with it. That seems to be enough.
I pulled the muscles in my back some time ago so for that I take MSM (Prairie Naturals) and that relaxes my strained back. Maybe this also helps relax my body and helps me sleep. My muscles relax, and I get lots of sleep. So give it a try.

Usually the smallest 'effective' dose of melatonin is best. Start with 1 milligram, it may be all you will need. Most patients do not need more than 2 milligrams.

If your body isn't low or deficient in melatonin, taking a supplement won't effect your sleep. It should only be used maybe once or twice a week.
