Ok, I was told by my OBGYN when I got pregnant with my son, "With a home pregnancy test, you can receive a false negative, but you can not get a false positive" . So with that said, I would say yes, you are pregnant. However, I would definitely go in to your doctor's office and have them do a blood test as well as a urine test just to be on the safe side. If you are cramping and spotting, I would have it checked. I wouldn't get frantic about it though. I had a very light period, slight cramping and spotting the first month I was pregnant with my daughter. It's not necessarily uncommon for that to happen the first month of pregnancy.
I would definitely get on some prenatal vitamins immediately if you are or are not pregnant. Ideal situation is for a woman attempting to conceive is to already be taking prenatal vitamins at least 2 months prior to pregnancy. I wouldn't drink and I wouldn't take any medications stronger than Tylenol.
Chance are that your pregnancy is normal and everything is fine. And any couple trying to get pregnant or that are having a baby have concerns about having a baby with 10 fingers and 10 toes and being as brilliant as Einstein. So your and your husbands fears are normal. Just get started in the right direction, get some prenatal vitamins and call first thing Monday morning to your OBGYN office and set an appointment for the blood and urine pregnancy tests and have your Doctor check you out.
Hope this helps.

A light positive is still a positive. If you wait a few days, it will probably get darker. It would be a good idea to go to the doctor and confirm the pregnancy with a blood test.

Mine was really light and I was pregnant. I heard that it doesn't matter how dark the line is as long as the line is there. You need to make sure that the line shows up during the time that the test says to read it. If you leave it sitting for hours and then the line shows up then the reading is not accurate.

You're pregnant, the child should be just fine. The light bleeding was probably implantation bleeding. Get to the doctor and make sure to take your prenatal vitamins! Congratulations.

Yes you are pregnant, a faint line is still a line. You need to call the doctor if you are still spotting, bleeding is never a good thing. Good luck!

the reason the line could be faint is because you don't have too strong of a trace of that hormone (sorry, not sure what it is). so, after 4 preggers test, you should get your pregnant rear into the doc's office so you can see how far along you are!!!!!! hahah. congrats and good luck!!!!

go see a doctor because if you are pregnant, you need a doctor to make sure that the baby is going to be fine and to confirm that you are really pregnant.
