The secret is to select something you know (Joey and Blake each have 32 marbles) then express what you don't know in those terms (Mark has 1/4 of their total) their total is 64 and dividing by 4 will give you 16 or the number of marble Mark has. Totaling all three boys marbles 32+32+16=80 and is the answer to the question.

Trust me, these problems get harder but if you just remember to select something you know and express everything else in those terms you will do great. I wish I had figured that little trick out before I left high school instead of after I retired.
