I've already shelled out on a 360 and a new PC this year, it seems a bit silly to buy yet another console just to play one game. Is it really that good?

A resounding yes. The Gamecube has many great games, but the best ,is, IMHO , RE4. Besides, the next gen is here and you should be able to get a Gamecube and a handful of games as well.

I would have to say yes, i own a gamecube and a pc, i hardly ever play on the pc, always playing Res Evil 4 and the other Res Evil games.
10 out of 10 for Res 4.

Resident Evil 4 on the gamecube is by far the best game the cube has ever had the new Zelda is not to bad

I think resident evil 4 was possibly the best game ever brought out for the cube. You can buy a second hand cube from your nearest gamestation for about 30 quid. The wii also plays gamecube games but its 180 quid, well worth it though.

Resident Evil 4 is also out for the PS2 and PC.
There are many more reasons to buy a Cube- Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime, Paper Mario, 1080 Avalanche and Resident Evil remake.

well if you do then consider this, GET ALL OF THE RE GAMES FOR GAMECUBE ... there are like 7 and they are all great.... i got a gamecube just so i could get RE4 RE0 REremake and REcode veronica....those are the best graphiced ones, then there is RE2 RE3 and i think one more and they are 1996 graphics but still great game...and all these items can be bought at eb games for a low price... and also the 3 pack of RE0 REremake and RE4 is only 20 dollars... or 30 so it s cheaper than buying RE4 for like 30 bucks by itslef...

I think you should buy someother system because other systems like Psp,Wii or other new systems. There are not that much games in gamecube but if you can't afford a brand new PSP or Ps3 then go for gamecube but you will not find that much games in it!!!!! And I think that you have spend alot of money so I think just dont buy it but if really you want to buy it then go ahead but I would suggest to buy a Psp.Ps3 or wii because they are much cooler!

I do not understand people who are buying consoles just to play games, and , in your case, you want a console for one game? It doesn't really matter if the game is good or not, is just waste of money, especially if you have already one AND a PC as well.
don't forget that, if you want to play games for PC like you are playing them on a console, just buy a joystick, a wheel or whatever.

Yeah, cheap Gamecubes are popping up all over the place. I bought mine from my friend for $30, great condition, and I'm sure there are even cheaper ones on eBay. I've heard RE4 is really good.

it is simply the best in the series! but if you have a ps2 it is also available on that. if not, the gamecube version (which graphically better) is cheap enough that you could get a used one for $50 or so.
