weak acid is acetic acid and its corresponding salt is sodium acetate so u said a small amount of base is added
first as acetic acid is weak acid its dissociation is weak so complete dissociation into hydrogen and acetate ion is not seeen and as sodium salt is strong acid it undergoes complete dissociation into Na+ and acetate this the maechanism
soooooo when base is added as u did not mention strong or weak supppose strong base like sodium hydroxide it willlll dissociate completely into Na+ and OH-
the Na will react with acetate ion so Na is removed
and about OH willlll combine with H+ and will form water so theres no distubence in the pH
thats really cool about buffer !!!!!!!!
