Welcome to the real world. I have to get up at 4:30am to be to work by 6:00am. You should give two weeks notice at least.

I guess I don't have to tell you that should never have accepted a job without having a full understanding of the expected working hours, huh? ;-)
You should quit, but do the right thing: give them some notice. Tell them that you will not be able to work for them beyond one more week. If you aren't working that many hours anyway, it shouldn't be a big deal, and you can be looking for another job at the same time. But at least that way, they can't say you didn't give them any notice. You may not need the reference, but it is a small world.....and you never know when you could run into some of these people again down the road. Your reputation is important.

Just quit. Don't listen to anyone tell you that you're not giving the job a chance - you know whether it is or is not going to be satisfying to you, and it's clear that you'll never be happy with it. I certainly wouldn't be happy with a job that made me get up at 6AM to be somewhere by 7, and only offered part-time hours.
No reason to even go in person, a simple phone call is sufficient. No reason for any notice either - aside from the most premier restaurants, they all have high turnover and such occurances are frequent, they are used to it happening.

Be very careful - don't ruin your reputation before you get started.
Better you should be grown-up and discuss with the Boss that you don't wish to continue in that position...that it didn't meet your expectations.
Maybe they have another posting that may be more to your liking.
Be nice. Have a positive attitude. Don't come across like a whiner.
After a year - a pattern of your 'ways' will emerge for all to see. Make sure it's a good pattern.
Welcome to Life. (Some people reading would give a lot just to have the chance for the job your chucking away.)

After two days you have hardly given the job a chance. I am not sure what you expected when you went to work, maybe a job where you went to work when you felt like it and got off when you got tired. Toughen up and use the experience to help you in the future. It doesn't sound so horrible that a normal person couldn't handle it without any problem.

I don't understand what's so horrible about your job. Just because you're getting up early? That's no excuse for quitting a job. Suck it up and do it for the summer because it's only for three months, right? In the real world, you will have to do whatever it takes to fulfill an employers schedule if you want a paycheck...

You really should give some kind of notice,, like that you will be leaving at the end of the week,, but since you are in such misery,, just call them and tell them you quit.
