We were out to dinner last night and she had forgotten to make the reservations. So we sat at the bar and had a couple drinks, waiting for a table to become free. After being seated, she spilled her glass of water all over the table, and onto my pants. Naturally she had to be punished for this, as it isn't acceptable behavior. I reached across the table and slapped her face with a firm backhand. I then ordered another drink to have with my meal, and the guy at the table next to us noticed her crying. Should have I waited until we were outside to slap her?

Personally if you really did this sort of thing and I had been the guy I'd have gotten up and beat the crap out of you!!! Any man who slaps his wife around in public or private deserves to have the crap beat out of them....he's just a sorry piece of ***!
As far as the wife is concerned I'd leave your *** because you aren't worth it and I know I could do much better than that. Even though you may have beaten me down with all your hate and abusiveness at some point I'd realize that I am way more important then to live with a low life like you. But ya know I'd have to let ya hit me one more time, so I'd do something to provoke you but before I do I would call the police and tell them that I needed help because my husband was abusing me. Then like I said I'd provoke ya, then you'd hit me and the police would show up probably while all this is going on and your butt would go to jail and I'd press charges against you. Then I would find the biggest guy I could and they day you get out of jail I'd pay that sucker to come beat the crap out of you and watch you whine like the loser you are!!

Is she really your wife, your child or your maid? Why are you treating her like that? You shouldn't slap her at all.. not in the public places. So if next time you forget to reserve seat or something, spilled dink on her , she can slap you back in the public? you like your wife to cry when you having your meal.. and get all the attention. Please go for counselling. your wife does not deserve any of this treatment. you could have just scold her or leave her there to get out of the situation.

This sounds like someone trying to get their kicks on here. But hitting a woman is wrong on SO many levels.
I've put a guy through a plate glass window for hitting his g/f. Guys don't EVER hit women, and there's NO acceptable reason to do so.

You should have tried(and I stress tried) to do it in front of me. You don't have a right to slap or abuse a woman in any way shape or form. If you don't have the guts to hit a man, don't take it out on your wife or any other woman. Heck I'd let you try to backhand me if you want to????

No...matter of fact u should have given her a backhand for forgetting the reservations as well...i recommend u slap her more often in public as her humiliation by it will better serve in teaching her the lesson .

yes...first of all there is no reason to Slap your WIFE...you love her don't you? even if she made a mistake or an accident happened. its not her fault. and you make think its not acceptable behaivor, still its wrong to slap her...and even if you waited til after, you still should have not slapped her. i don't know anyone else who slaps their own wife
