Isn't human life more important than animal life?

this question made me feel a little weird, heres the thing, I like people, I like pets, but I dont go to work everyday to support other people for whatever cause, I go to work to support myself and my family, and if that includes a pet or several for that matter so be it. I dont expect charity from anyone, so I hope noone is out there expecting it from me, plus I would never give money to charity anyway because I have no proof that the money is being spent in a productive way, for all I know, someone is pocketing that money and pretending to do research, but hey, I may just be paranoid, but then again, look at how many billions, on top of billions that have been given to causes like aids and cancer, and guess what no cure yet, but I guess if I get rid of my cat, and give that measly $20 a week to charity, aids will be cured. Thank you.

Oh my gosh!! You must not know any dogs! Dogs are soooooo great. They love you no matter what. They are always happy to see you. They play with you. They sit by your side. The JOY that I feel around some dogs - is indescribable. They are - in my opinion - very close to the perfect being. And I'm sure that other people feel this way about cats or birds or lizards or whatever animal with which they've chosen to spend their time.

NO - human life is NOT more important than animal life. All living things are beautiful. In fact - I take my dog to visit the people at the convelescent center - - because I believe that ALL life is important!!

When Katrina happened - I sent my donations to THE ANIMALS!!!

HI
I have asked many this question because i do the same thing and it comes down to that a pet is a member of their family and would rather spend it on them than give it someone who they aren't sure the money would actually go to the needy instead of their own pockets,

You obviously don't have pets...my animals are like my children. I would be completely heart broken if any of them were to die. You can donate to what ever charity you want...it's all about what touches your heart the most.

It really depends on the human. My shiba inu and basenji are smarter and more reliable than the guy who beat and robbed my wife at a bus stop for $30. Given the choice, I would feed my dogs first.
