Good question. No question is stupid if it brings a laugh. And this gave me a
laugh. I thought of black??? I never thought of choking my Smurf to find out now
it's too late as I gave it to a child. If I could remember which one, I'd go back &
and find out. But, I sure wouldn't let the child see me. Poor role model I would be, eh?? : }

Purple!
They start off that lovely shade of blue
then it becomes a darker shade of blue
then their lil lips start turning lavender
Couple of wiggles, kicks and smacks
Eyes turn blood shot
Here comes the blood rushing to their head..
WOW, what a beautiful way to watch the colour purple form. ( Umm, I've never tried this ... was just told that is how it happens *clears throat*)

Does a person turn blue when you choke them? No, so a smurf won't change colors either.

For those that don't know Smurf are little blue characters that use to be popular with children many years ago.
(eg: Papa Smurf, Gardening Smurf, Doctor Smurf, Daisy Smurf....etc etc...there were soooo many)
And if you choke them, they turn blue.... and seeing as they are already blue nobody notices... that's why they are no longer around!

A lighter shade of blue of course. Assuming Smurfs have blood that is red in color. The inability of the blood to reach it's head will cause it to become paler that its usual shade of blue.
