the fuel tank leaks fro mthe top, and ithink its the fuel pump, but u know i dont wanna take of the tank, so would it be loose or what

could be anything up there from the fuel pump, roll over valve. an evap fitting, to a broken filler neck tube. gonna just have to brake down and pull the tank

drop the tank a little and replace the inlet or outlet hose that is leaking. Depending upon the age and rust issues there could be a hole on top due to debret that has finally rusted through.

There are store patch kits but they are about as useful as a loaded dirty diaper. What works for me and the junk yard I worked for for years use JB WELD and a piece of tin can metal I cut and placed over the hole once I wire brushed it to bare metals.

more than likely it is just a crack in the return line from the engine. if it was the pressure line from the tank to the engine it would be spraying gas not just leaking it and you would have a heck of a time getting it to start.

first crawl under and look...u cant see anything on your monitor then take out the tank and look....

what car's model? may be a broken or loose hose.
