Bittorrent files are not executable and would NOT play. You would need the actually bit torrent client such as Azureus to download the content from bit torrent files..

If your file is bit torrent, then download Azureus, which would allow you to download the content of this bit torrent file.. The content file would probably be around the 700MB size for a movie, whereas the bit torrent file size for a movie would be 300KB at maximum..

Hope this helps,

Poor you! I had it and dumped it because I couldn't find anything with it. If you have downloaded music, what format is it in???? mp3? .wav? mod? some other strange form?

mp3 or wav will play in just about anything - Windows Media Player, Nero Player, etc. mod and some other weird formats require specialised players and you can't play them on a normal cd/mp3 player either.

Best bet is to look up the 3 letter extension on the Internet to find what will play it. If you want to download music then I recommend either buy it from a reliable source like SONY Music or use a program such as LimeWire to download from a Gnutella network.

You can get LimeWire basic for free at www.limewire.com

Well Real Player is always good for online content, it has a nice volley of codecs, meaning it can play almost anything, if not it connects to online update which is usually successful and from then on can play the file.

If you want a range of media players for use, I suggest you getting, real player, quicktime, windows media player, divx player. As these will pool their codecs together, and make all the others more compatible also.

Try searching on google.com for codec packs. this will increase the amount of video files the media players can play.
