No, it is not.
Regarding fantasy, Helen Fisher ("The First Sex," Ballantine Books, Feb. 2000) says that 71 percent of men and 72 percent of women fantasize while having sex with a partner. Men fantasize about conquest and domination, women about submission and surrender.
Dr. Joyce Brothers says, "It might relieve some of your guilt to know that many happily married individuals who have no thought or intention of ever betraying their spouse have sexual fantasies about someone other than their spouse."
Statistics show that up to 90% of the total male population masturbates, and based on data collected circa 1977 - 1979, 74% of married women masturbated; 16% of these women did so frequently.
In a 2007 survey conducted by The Gazette - a student newspaper - the results were:
1-3 times a week (M) 26% (F) 39%
4-9 times a week (M) 42% (F) 16%
Leading sexual educators such as Dr. Ruth and Betty Dodson will echo these same opinions and statistics.

Yes I believe it is. I believe masturbating is wrong. If I said that I've never done it, I'd be lying. But I think it is wrong. And thinking of someone other than your wife or husband is cheating, because I believe that even having sexual thoughts about someone other than your spouse your cheating on them.
One of the Ten Commandments says Do NOT commit adultery, and Adultery consists of not only having sex with someone your not married to, but also your thoughts, if you look at someone with lustf in your heart, your commiting adultery.

Women could rationalize a case for it to be cheating. But no we are not cheating when we masturbate. I will give my wife all she wants and is able to take, but I still want my 'alone time'. She knows I do it and is ok with it, bless her.

Depends. Do you believe in the often irrational beliefs of Christians or do you believe in logic? If you believe in logic and realitiy, no, it's not cheating. It's normal to fantasize. It's natural, but acting on it is different, of course masturbation is an act, but it's an act that is personal.

No, I believe it is not cheating. Acting on your fantasies would be cheating but mere fantasies are harmless.
