I have a cat who does the same thing. She's getting too big now, but she still tries. I named her Pauli (as in Polly the parrot).

When she was a little tiny kitten she started doing this. She's now over a year and she kinda sits part way on my shoulder and part of her on the top of the couch. I always thought she thought she was a bird for some reason.

I have 3 parrots that think they're puppies -- they growl, they get down on the floor and roll around with their toys. They also think they're cats -- they climb up to sit on my shoulder.

It's hard to explain. He's a huge black cat but Jet has the cutest and smallest pink tongue and when he opens his mouth, it's heart-rendingly cute to see that little bit of pink in a mass of black fur.

What isn't SO CUTE (I'm shouting at him, not you.) is the fact that my settee has alayer of black fur covering it and no matter how much I hoover, it still has a layer of black fur covering it.

Beauty - my ex cat used to attack my nieces and nephews and before you say that's not cute. It was ever so funny. Beauty was half the size of Jet (they were co-cats for ten years) and had very striking features; hence HIS name but his favourite place to sit was at the heating vent slap bang between the sitting room and the toilet (we lived in a bungalow) and one of the first things I'd hear when the bairns came to stay was a wail ... "Aunty, he won't let me past and I really need to go!"

When I went out to investigate, I'd find a small puss (Y!A censored it when I added the 'y') cat hissing at hulking great teenagers who were backed into a corner. He didn't like children ... he didn't like men ... he didn't like most humans, except me and to me he was devoted. I think that was behind his reactions to children and to men ... he was jealous of them .... very cute.

I have 5 cats and 2 of them constantly follow each other like they are magnets. If one is going to the litterbox or eating the other will just sit there, and wait for the other to finish. Also when I sit on the couch one if them will run up and sit on my lap and watch tv with me.

my male cat sits parrot fashion when i am using the pc. i like it when they are taking treats as they clap their front paws together on the treat. my female watchs anything about the great apes or fish which she tries to catch. they curl up in the tiniest balls with their tails wrapped round them when it is cold and they yell when they are hungry. they cuddle each other as well. they place their front paws across each other and their back paws and then they wrap their tails around each other i think they love each other so much.

My dog (great dane) when he hears the tune to the tv series pets rescue, he comes pounding in and sits on my lap, quite a sight as his 10 stone and nearly 6ft when he stands up.

my labrador retreiver used to sit up and hold her paws out and cross them over one another ..back & forth ( she thought she was a poodle)
my german shep used to ring a small bell on the doorhandle with her nose.
the shepherd used to jump up..to pick crab apples from the apple tree..no.she didn't eat them..she take them very gently in her mouth ..dig a hole & bury them .
did have a white persian cat who thought she was a dog..and when
the dog would bark at the front door, she'd run to it also and meow...would only eat dog food and only go out when the dog was out.

My hyper jack russel used to do a 'wall of death' round the sofas, run up and down the stairs and come back to do it again. He was better entertaiment than the telly.
