Absolutely! Check out a world map for locations at that latitude. It's mainly a matter of altitude in the tropics. The higher you climb, the more chance for snow.
Here are some places that are at 3000 m elevation - and higher - along that line that DEFINITELY get snow:
The volcanoes in the Andes Mountains in Ecuador and Colombia. Some of the high peaks in Kenya in Africa. About that same latitude SOUTH of the equator is Mt. Kilimanjaro, highest peak in Africa. It definitely has snow - though it's disappearing fast due to global warming. Some of the high volcanoes in Indonesia (Sumatra and Kalimantan get snow at their summits.
And that's just about all the land there is at that latitude!

yes, its always possible, its just how probable, in my hometown in Florida we are 100 feet above seal level and we got 3 inches of snow before, i would have never believed that...anyway the higher above sea level you are the better the chance you have,but it says you are close to the equator so it could possibly happen in a extreme condition...

In my guess, I don't think so because that is very high and it is rear to have 3000 meters of snow!

i dont know probaly if it can snow on the mountain where they climb then its possible to snow above sea level we are above sea level anyway

Yes look at he summit of mountains. A lot are full of sow and higher than 3000m
