Where do you find the Sigil Stone in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?

You find the sigil stones in the realms of Oblivion.
More over, you find them in Sigil Keeps, or those giant towers you see. Except in Gates you enter that are part of the story line, the places you enter has four random maps patterns. (If you memorize these patterns you can always figure out where the sigil stone is.)

The best way to see if a tower contains a sigil stone is that when you enter there is a red pool in the center of the room, if there is a giant fire thing shooting out of it, then there is a sigil stone in that tower.

I'm guessing your doing the first mission to close a gate... Before you can enter the tower you need to, you have to enter one of the smaller towers and throw a switch to open the gate.

Also, to actually get the stone, you just go up to it and activate it, like when you talk to someone. Then in 3 or so seconds you will be warped back to the normal world.

There is a secret with sigil stones... You can use the stones to enchant weapons and armor without joining the mages guild, and if you get a sigil stone you don't want.... Before activating the stone, save your game and then activate, if you don't like the effect, reload and try again. The effects of the stone are decided upon when you activate it.
(I believe there are 30 or so different effects.)

There is one Sigil Stone in each oblivion gate. Inside there you have to get into the main tower. At the top of the tower is the Sigil Stone right in the middle of the whole structure. You will see fire come up from the middle also.

It is in the sigil tower, which is in the oblivion gate in Bruma, you have to go to the top of the tower where you have to fight the crystal keeper.

Unfortunately you're screwed. You can't get any more since you finished the main quest. The way that they control what they get is by saving just before they take the stone, then reloading until they get what they want. The duplication glitch is useless to you, since the item is exactly duplicated, and you won't get the random effects.
