I'm looking for some 2007 pennies to give as a gift. I've called around to some local banks but have had no luck. An suggestions?

Call the banks again and be a little more persistent. The banks get rolls of coins in on a regular basis from the mint, especially pennies. They might not have any right now but they may be expecting some in a few days or another branch might have several rolls. Ask to speak to a manager, be polite and try to get his cooperation.

You might have a problem if you are in a smaller city. Sometimes it can take a while for pennies to get circulated in smaller cities and towns. The mint usually distrubutes new currency to large communities first.
My suggestion is to go to a bigger city if none are available in your area.
