Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus has nothing to do with the plight of the Persians & Spartians.
The Spartian war was 400 years after Spartacus ruled the Roman Empire.

No, it is about the 300 Spartans in the Battle of Thermopylae in 480BCE. There was a movie titled "The 300 Spartans" starring Richard Egan, but "300" is based upon a graphic novel and is more fantastic. Neither is very accurate historically, but the old one is not as wild as the new one. Spartacus was beaten by Crassus who teamed with Pompey and Julius Caesar to form the First Triumvirate in Rome. Caesar lived 100-44BCE, so Spartacus lived long after the 300 Spartans at Thermopylae.

Spartacus? I think thats another case... But the first Spartacus is better that the new one.
The movie 300, I guess is a remake from the movie "300 Spartans".
But the 2007 movie has been heavily reinforced by fiction. Making it a more enjoyable movie to watch.

A movie made in the year 2007 can't be compared to one made 47 years ago. Technology, censoring, screen size, audio, etc... Has massively improved making the quality of the film far more entertaining then anything antiquated.
