Now, dolphins aren't fishy. They are mammals. Oh, the Hugh Manatee! They are my 10 year old daughter's favorite creature. When we went to Maui on vacation(why else would one go there?) her hope was to see and get close to one. We did get close to a green sea turtle while snorkeling, but it is not quite the same thing. Dolphins may be more intelligent that we are. We know they communicate, and they don't declare war on each other. Are they peaceniks? I know they don't wear clothes. Is that because of global warming? They live the porpoise driven life. And that is not a fluke. Sorry. I just had to spout off a little.

They *know* they are the smartest creatures on the planet and they're rubbing it in. You should read Ben Bova books, some are about dolphins and humans working together. Cool stuff.

genetically that is just the angle at which their jawbones are set. most experts say it is because of the so called smile that humans seem so drawn to dolphins

They are smiling because they think they are going to have a pretty good team this fall. And they get to date the team's cheerleaders....

Everybody thinks those things are harmless,
but they grab you by the ankles,pull you deep down into the sea and drown you.......
that's why they smile....
