Beats the hell out of me - I've watched The Office and did not even smirk - just another boring fat unfunny so-called comedian - do not see the attraction - nothing I have seen in him is even remotely funny. Let's face it The Office is found funny by the Americans so it must be pretty bad
Jonathan Ross is just a prat - plain and simple - In fact if it were possible I would claim a rebate on my TV licence for these two morons being allowed/shown on TV alone

Ricky Gevais created and starred in one of the best comedies of the last ten years The Office, thats why hes famous.

Ricky Gervais created and starred in the BBC original version of The Office which is so popular in the states.
There are different types of comedy and since I have never seen the BBC version, maybe the way they view comedy is different.

I agree with you. I don't think he is funny. In my opinion he is just some sad old many who somehow made a good tv show (the office) and now thinks that he is funny.
But he isn't

i dont know-i was watching something with when he first started-on the 11 o clock show, and i remember how funny he was then. shock value i suppose.
now we expect him to be nasty and its just boring. same old same old.
peter kays the same. did you see him at live 8 pretending everyone was calling for him to sing that stupid song? they so werent.

i know what you mean, there are some people who should not be famous and ricky gervase is one of them. I can't stand him. he was rude about pro. stephen hawkins once, he was rude about his disability. pro stephen hawkins is a brilliant man.
