I pay little attention to opening and closing animatics, but I like the manga-picture work in Saiyuki (Both parts) and Fushigi Yuugi's ending. I also enjoy recap for the episode, such as Fruits Basket. The first opening of Magic Knight Rayearth is pretty good, and it's first closing is hilarious (Mostly note Presea's clothing change between the two times she appears) "BLAZE" from Tsubasa Chronicle does a good job at introducing the characters and their personalities. And that's really all I can say animatic wise
If you want the songs though.
Top 5 openers, in no particular order:
Zankokuna Tenshi no THESIS (At least the first NGE Open)
PLATINUM (3rd CCS opening)
Yuzurenai Negai (1st MKR opening)
For Real (Saiyuki, although I like the piano version played sporadically through dramatic parts of the anime better)
Although not from an anime, I love the high-power techno remix of "Hikari" (Kingdom Hearts)
Closers:
Tightrope (Saiyuki)
Groovy (CCS 1st close)
FRUITS CANDY (CCS 3rd close)
And that's really all I can stand music-wise. I just want to kill most others.
